ISO 9000 Certification
The ISO 9000 series is
the international standard for quality assurance and continuous
improvement. The philosophy of ISO certification can be summarized as
follows: Say what you do… Do what you say… Prove it. Organizations are
required to write down their processes. Employees are required to follow
those written processes. Then the organization is audited by an outside
entity to show that the written processes are accurate and are actually
followed by employees. Organizations that pass the audit receive ISO
certification that is centrally registered and may be advertised to
clients as well as stakeholders.
ISO 9000 is a method of
building quality assurance and continuous improvement into an
organization. Certification gives managers better control over all
elements of production, distribution, etc. because employees have a
written guide that tells them exactly what management expects.
Unproductive practices are eliminated by recording actual practices and
auditing to make sure those practices are followed.
Baldrige Award
The Malcolm Baldrige
National Quality Award was created to enhance the competitiveness,
quality, and productivity of U.S. organizations. Thousands of
organizations, large and small, use the Baldrige criteria as a guideline
for creating a performance-driven organization—even those with no
interest in pursuing the Baldrige Award itself.
The organizational
benefits of the Baldrige standards are improving relations with
customers and employees while improving sales and profits over the
long-term. Whether looking to win a Baldrige Award, or simply looking to
improve your organization along U.S. government recognized and approved
standards, our Baldrige program can turn your organization into a
success story.
