Future Scenario Building
Futures Scenario
Building augments Strategic Planning by generating not just one static
future scenario, but a range of possible scenarios, which planners can
then take into account in developing their long term strategy.
Organizations that do
not anticipate and adapt to changes in their environment do not survive
and prosper. Most organizations realize this and so they have adopted
Strategic Plans. The problem is often these strategic plans take static
views of a stable economic future for the company without adaptation to
new environments. Through Futures Scenario Building organizations can
prepare not just for one future eventuality, but be prepared for a range
of possible outcomes and select a range of responses that can be rapidly
activated.
Change Leadership
Change Leadership is
essential training for all managers. This program is a blueprint which
is designed to help managers and supervisors lead change by providing
tools for negotiating the most common hurdles to change. Leaders learn
how to mobilize others to want to work together to achieve their shared
vision and superior results.
When organizations
change, so too must the mindset within the organization. By turning
managers into knowledgeable leaders, your organization becomes more
dynamic and flexible.
Strategic Planning
Strategic Planning is
one of the most basic functions of management. Almost every private and
public enterprise today has a Strategic Plan in one form or another. The
best enterprises have plans that are a vital part of their business
strategy and are actively used by individuals throughout the
organization.
The problem for most
organizations is not that they do not have a Strategic Plan, it’s that
these plans sit on the shelf collecting dust, unread and unrelated to
what is actually going on in the organization. Despite best of
intentions, the thought and effort that go into most Strategic Plans are
wasted because employees feel no connection to the plan, and because a
rapidly changing work environment soon makes static plans outdated and
useless.
In its simplest form
Strategic Planning involves setting objectives, gathering and organizing
information, determining and then choosing feasible courses of action,
implementing the actions, and monitoring results. If the desired results
are not being attained, the process starts again.
PRI and its strategic
partners have assisted dozens of organizations, private and public,
large and small, in developing exceptional Strategic Plans. PRI’s focus
is on helping organizations develop Strategic Plans that are right for
them, plans that are adaptable and dynamic, and ones in which employees
at all levels can connect.
Organizational Communications
PRI offers a training
effort we call “Partnering for Excellence”. By studying the methods of
outstanding teams in a wide range of human endeavor, from Nobel
prize-winning teams to Medal of Honor winning military units to National
Championship winning sports teams to leading corporations,
Partnering for
Excellence, involves its participants in the process of learning seven
key elements of building excellent teams: 1) commitment to a clear
mission; 2) mutual support and encouragement; 3) clearly defined roles;
4) win-win cooperation; 5) individual competency; 6) empowering
communication; and 7) winning attitude. Partnering for Excellence has
been used by dozens of the largest and best managed corporations and
government agencies in the United States. Organizations that have
adopted Partnering for Excellence are better able to adapt and prosper
in a changing environment. Enhanced team performance and employee
satisfaction are targeted outcomes of Partnering for Excellence
training.
Through a strategic
partnership with the creators of Partnering for Excellence, PRI can
teach organizations the time tested team skills they need to truly excel
in today’s complex, highly independent world.
